Cuyahoga Falls, November 7, 2023 - Meika Marie Penta has been reelected as the representative for Ward 3 on the Cuyahoga Falls City Council, according to the official results from the Summit County Board of Elections. Penta, a Democrat, defeated her challenger Mark Ludwig by a wide margin, securing 58.29% of the votes (1559) compared to Ludwig's 41.71% (1120). She won in all five precincts and had a significant lead in early voting, demonstrating her strong support from the community.
In her victory speech, Penta thanked her supporters and volunteers for their dedication and hard work. She reaffirmed her commitment to serving the residents of Ward 3 and expressed her enthusiasm to work with the city on revitalizing South State Road. She also addressed the negative tactics used by her opponent and his allies, which encompassed disseminating false information, spreading misinformation, engaging in bullying, harassment, and issuing threats. "This kind of behavior has no place here in Cuyahoga Falls," she said.
Penta's reelection reflects her popularity and ability to connect with the community. "I am deeply honored to have been chosen once again to represent the wonderful residents of Ward 3," she said. "Together, we will continue to work towards a brighter future, enhancing the quality of life in our beloved community."
